Chapter 5: Our Family Story
Grandma started with a sigh and a sad look.
“A long time ago, magical creatures and humans lived peacefully together. They lived in a place called Lillyconus because of the many waterlilies that lived in the rivers and lakes.
The humans took care of the magical creatures and the magical creatures protected the humans from the evil creatures that existed in a different part but of course came and made trouble in with the humans.
This peaceful time lasted for over 5 thousand years but one year, a man came to the castle, in the main part of Lillyconus.
Now the ruler of Lillyconus at this time was a great man called Edward the Just and his wife was fairy (long story) named, Angelica. Now these two loved each other with all their hearts and had four beautiful children. Lillyona, the oldest at sixteen years old, she was an exact image of her mother with the stubbornness of her father. She was a elegant young lady and a fit ruler. Her parents hoped she would some day be the Queen of Lillyconus.
Next, Edward the 2nd. He was a strong young man of fourteen and had walked in his father’s footsteps ever since he was not even a toddler. He was the pride of his father and was kind to the core.
Third was Milly. At twelve years old, she was a female version of her father and was the tom-boy of her family. Even though she was rough, she had the heart of her mother and couldn't turn any hurt animal or person away and was kind to everyone.
Last was little Jimmy. He was five years old and was the most mischievous of all . He had a sweet spirit and everyone loved him. He could not stay in trouble for long.
Anyways, King Edward and Queen Angelica ruled Lillconus with justest and kindness. For they loved their subjects and their subjects loved them.
All was quite and peaceful until, on a cloudy day, a man in a black robe with a hood over his face, walked in to the counseling room and asked to speak with the King and Queen.
“It must be private as well.” He told the steward in a rough deep voice. The Steward raised eyebrow.
It was not unusual thing for someone to come in and ask, and not always politely, to have a private audience with the King.
But it was to have an audience, particularly a private audience, with both the King and Queen. And only the most trusted people were allowed that privilege. And this man was most defintatly not one of those.
The Steward opened his mouth to say this, when the Man cut him off.
“I will have an audience with the King and Queen.” He told the steward and looked at him expectantly. The Steward closed his mouth, then opened it saying,
“You will have an audience with the King and Queen. Please follow me.” A glazed look came over his eyes and if anyone, besides the stranger, had looked at him closely would have known that he was under a spell.
This stranger was no ordinary stranger.
The Man smiled the most evil smile anyone has known about and followed the steward with stalking steps.
Hope you liked it!!
